FORT WORTH, TX - Linebacker Robert Henson shined at the TCU Pro Day last week in Fort Worth, Texas. Henson ran the 40 yard dash in times of 4.62 and 4.70 which would have put him in the top 5 of linebackers tested at the combine last month in Indianapolis. Henson also impressed with a 35 inch vertical leap and 9'11" broad jump. Henson, who has been training with Deion Sanders and Omar Stoutmire down at Prime U in Dallas, has been soaking up every bit of knowledge he can from these NFL veterans. In his blog last week, NFL.com’s Gil Brandt joked that Henson seemed to have another drill down pat, the old schmooze drill. He walked around and introduced himself to all the scouts in attendance, much to Deion’s liking. The coming weeks will be filled with team visits for Henson as teams try to finalize their boards leading into April’s draft. In addition, to his many talents as a linebacker, Henson’s performance on Special Teams has NFL clubs excited about the immediate impact he can have at the next level.
